Miralem Pjanic could still leave Barcelona before window closes

Miralem Pjanic's future at Barcelona not as certain as it seemed.

Miralem Pjanic

may not stay at

Barcelona

as long as it looked like he would. The Bosnian midfielder seemed to have earned his spot on Xavi Hernandez's team based on how he played in the pre-season, but it now looks like he might leave.

A report from Diario Sport says that Saudi Arabian team

Al-Nassr

wants to reunite Pjanic with Rudi Garcia, his coach at Roma. Lyon, one of Pjanic's old teams, also wants to bring him back to France on loan. In Barcelona's three games, Pjanic hasn't played a single minute.

Xavi likes Pjanic and thinks of him as Sergio Busquets' backup in the middle of the field. If he left, Barcelona would only have Busquets, Pedri, Sergi Roberto, Frenkie de Jong, and

Franck Kessie

to choose from in the middle of the field. This would be on top of Gavi and Pablo Torre, who are still on contracts for the youth team and not the first team.
