Lina Hurtig joins Arsenal from Juventus on a permanent deal

After two years in Italy, the Swedish striker finally decided to move to the Premier League.

have completed the transfer of

Lina Hurtig

from Italy champion

Juventus

on a permanent deal.

The 26-year-old striker started her football career at Gustafs GoIF and then joined Umeå Ik in 2012. In 2017, she joined Linköpings and helped them win the Damallsvenskan title Championship. She joined Juventus in 2020 and won two Serie A championships, two Super Cup championships and one Coppa Italia championship with this team.

She played her first game for Sweden in 2014 and managed to score 19 goals for her country in 58 games.

After joining Arsenal, Hurtig said:

"It feels so great - I'm very happy to be here.

"I've always, always wanted to play in England, and I've always been interested in English football, so it's super exciting for me to be here. I know Arsenal are a great club, with great players and lots of quality, so I think I will enjoy it here."

Arsenal coach Jonas Eidevall said:

"Lina is an excellent forward who will bring power and dynamism to our game. She has shone in the Champions League and international tournaments and we are delighted that she will be lining up for Arsenal moving forward."
