Fenerbahce's boss Jorge Jesus rules out Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer

After the 5-time Ballon d'Or winner's transfer request earlier in the summer, the Red Devils are reportedly open to selling to Portugal captain with Fenerbahce appearing as a possible destination.

However,

, who has a close relationship with the Manchester United star, rules out the possibility that the Portuguese join his club.

He said: "Yes, I'm a friend of Ronaldo, But he doesn't want to come, he has other ideas.

"I think he doesn't want to play in any league other than one of the big five."

Being asked whether he thinks Ronaldo will stay at United, the

Portuguese

only replied:

"I know that he will not play for Fenerbahce

."

Last season, the Portuguese scored 24 goals in 38 games for

Manchester United

. He scored six times in six Champions League games. the Portuguese player asked to leave this summer because his team didn't make the Champions League last season.

 

Missing most of the Red Devils' pre-season, Ronaldo only returned to Old Trafford from Juventus last September and was benched in their Premier League opener 2-1 defeat to

Brighton and Hove Albion

. However, he managed to get himself in the starting squad in their humiliating 4-0 defeat to Brentford last Saturday.

The 37-year-old Ronaldo

has a year left on his current contract, but he has the option of staying for another year. The official response from Manchester United is that the Portuguese player is not for sale.
