Ancelotti: Camavinga and Tchouameni can do much better

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti says that he expects more from midfielders Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga after the game against Almeria.

defeated the newly-promoted Almeria 1-2 on the opening weekend of La Liga on Sunday.

in midfield. Camavinga was substituted at half-time and Tchouameni lasted 59 minutes. Real Madrid manager but after the game said both young midfielders can do much better.

"The young players did not play as they know how to do. I know, I see them every day in training, they are not used to playing like this,"

Ancelotti told reporters at full-time.

"They can do much better. Camavinga, I took him out at the break, not because he wasn't playing well, only because with his yellow card, it didn't make sense to take a risk."

Ancelotti also talked about the game as a whole.

"We started the match poorly, as they found space in behind,"

he said.

"That made the game difficult, as they were very good at closing off space. We had many shots but struggled to score.

"In the second half, they were more tired and we had more control and chances.

"Lucas Vazquez did well [to equalise]. He is always alert, always showing the right intensity and the right attitude."

Madrid will face Celta Vigo in the La Liga on next Saturday.
