Arsenal getting ready to offer William Saliba a new deal
William Saliba has become a vital component of Mikel Arteta's ambitions at Arsenal.

Just a year ago, Arteta decided to loan out Saliba, under contract with
Arsenaluntil 2024, for a third straight season. However, he quickly became one of the best young defenders in Europe, winning the
Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year
award and becoming a full French international.
Saliba impressed Arsenal's management over the summer, and that was shown when Arteta put him in the starting lineup for the team's win over Crystal Palace on the first day of the season. That was his first game for the team, and he did a great job as Palace was easily beaten 2-0 at Selhurst Park. 90min has heard that Arsenal's leaders have reached out to Saliba's agents and are eager to sign him to a long-term deal.
