Arteta praised Zinchenko after Arsenal beat Sevilla
The manager of the Gunners is happy that the Ukraine international has joined the team.
Mikel Arteta
, the coach of
Arsenal, says that
Oleksandr Zinchenko's attitude has impressed him since he moved to Arsenal from
Manchester City
. On Saturday, when the Gunners beat
Sevilla
6-0 in the Emirates Cup, Zinchenko was in the starting lineup. He was taken out with 11 minutes left to play.
Zinchenko joined the Gunners for an initial fee of £30 million ($36 million), and Arteta thinks it was money well spent so far. When the club's website asked Arteta what he thought of the
Ukraineplayer, he said: "First, think about how he thinks. He's used to winning, and winning the right way is all that matters to him.
"I know him well, and he is a perfectionist and a very demanding boy. He also brings things to the team that we didn't have before. He gives us a different way to play a role in different places, and I'm really glad to have him."
Gabriel Jesus had a great game, and the Premier League team beat their Spanish opponents with ease. He helped Arteta's team win with a hat-trick, and the manager is happy with how the Brazilian striker is adjusting since he moved from City.
"You hope that will happen, but it's clear that a player has to get used to a new city, a new team, and new teammates, and he's done that quickly and naturally," he said. "You can see how they look for him on the field, both with and without the ball, and what he's able to teach them, so I'm really happy."
