Barcelona cannot put pressure on De Jong for paycut - Tebas

Manchester United are interested in the The Dutch, but the club has pressured him to extend his contract.

LaLiga president Javier Tebas has claimed that

Barcelona

are on the right track to sign new signings, but they cannot pressure

Frenkie de Jong

to take a pay cut.

Barcelona is facing many financial problems in recent seasons, but Xavi has attracted several players for the next season in the summer transfers, the most important of which are Raphnha and

Robert Lewandowski

, and Jules Conde is close ti join the Blaugrana. New purchases have attracted a lot of attention to Barca and the club has to make sales until the end of the transfer window to balance their accounts. One of the players who are rumored to be leaving is Frenkie de Jong, and it is said that the club has pressured him to either reduce his salary or leave the team.

Now Tebas claimed that Barca's action regarding De Jong was wrong, but they are on the right track to register their players.

He said:

"We follow all the movements of Barca very closely, but when the documentation of the levers and reduction of players that they have to do arrives, we will see if they register everyone.

"They know what they have to do. They still have a little work to do to be able to register everything they have signed and intend to sign. I think for now they are on the right track."

Asked about De Jong, Tebas replied:

"LaLiga is going to enforce the legislation. Players cannot be pressured or pushed aside, it is what marks the collective agreement, the law, reason and ethics."
