Official: Gleison Bremer joins Juventus for €50m

Juventus has signed defender Gleison Bremer from Torino, it was announced on Wednesday.

in a deal worth €50m. He reportedly has signed a five-year contract with Juventus worth €4m net per season plus €1m in add-ons.

The 25-year-old defender last season enjoyed an excellent campaign and won the MVP award from Lega Serie A as Best Defender for the season 2021-22. His performances attracted the attention of a number of clubs in Italy and He was strongly linked with Inter in recent months but Juventus after the departure of Matthijs de Ligt decided to sign Bremer and in the end, they won the race to sign him.

Bremer started his professional career in his native Brazil with Atlético Mineiro and made just 32 appearances before joining Torino at the age of 21. The Brazilian center-back joined Torino in 2018 and made 110 appearances across all competitions.

Bremer scored 13 goals in his three seasons at Torino which is a record for a central defender over that period.

Giorgio Chiellini left Juventus at the end of the season after his contract expired and they also sold Matthijs de Ligt to Bayern Munich for €80m.
