Cristiano Ronaldo rejects €275m offer from Saudi Arabian club

Manchester United star Ronaldo has turned down an offer from an unnamed club in Saudi Arabia.

According to ESPN,

Cristiano Ronaldo

wants to spend the final years of his career in Europe and has rejected a highly lucrative offer to leave

Manchester United

for Saudi Arabia.

A few days ago Portuguese media outlets TVI News and CNN Portuguesa reported that a Saudi club wants to sign Ronaldo and is ready to offer €30 million to Manchester United.

The Saudi club wanted to offer a massive 2-season €275m contract to Ronaldo which would make the 37-year-old the highest-paid footballer in the world.

ESPN claims that Ronaldo still wants to join a club playing Champions League football next season. The Times newspaper last month reported that Ronaldo has told Manchester United he wants to leave just one year after returning to the club.

Ronaldo missed United pre-season training due to what was announced as family issues. Manchester United insist that they want to keep Ronaldo and Eric Ten Hag claimed in his press conference on Monday that the club is not ready to sell Ronaldo.

Five-time Ballon d’Or winner has been linked with

Bayern Munich

and Chelsea but both clubs at the moment are not interested in signing him.
