Gundogan: Every game is a final from now on

Ilkay Gundogan insists that every game is a "final" as the title competition between the two teams heated up on Saturday with both teams winning.

Pep Guardiola

's side traveled to Elland Road to play

Leeds United

, who were in second place following

Liverpool

's 1-0 victory over Newcastle United at St James' Park. City's one-point lead at the top of the

Premier League

has been restored thanks to a 4-0 victory over the visitors.

At halftime,

Rodri

had given

Manchester City

a one-goal lead. The reigning champions asserted their dominance after the restart, with Nathan Ake and Gabriel Jesus scoring before Fernandinho completed the scoring with a collector's item. "At the end of the day, I think it's only as difficult as you make it for yourself," the 31-year-old said. "We have to manage situations; it's normal for them to play first and for us to play first at times."

"The pressure is always on, and the expectation is to win every game." It appears that neither team will struggle until the end, which is exactly what you want. Every game is now a final."
