using a three-man defence for the Reds’ match.
Pogba was playing in the midfield notwithstanding being jeered when they won against Norwich City on Saturday, when Nemanja Matic filled Jesse Lingard’s place.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka filled Alex Telles’ place while Marcus Rashford played as Cristiano Ronaldo was not available after his baby son died.
Liverpool made two changes following their success I the FA Cup semi-final battle against Manchester City. Joel Matip came at the expense of Ibrahima Konate to partner Virgil van Dijk in defence and Jordan Henderson came back to fill Naby Keita’s place.
Roberto Firmino was out of action due to a foot injury.
