Sevilla's Monchi in the quest to solve the club's injury crisis

Few individuals in Sevilla have as much authority as the Director of sports Monchi, and the transfer maestro has given himself a new assignment during the international break.

Sevilla

has been hampered by injuries more than any other club this season.

Julen Loptegui

has struggled to field his starting lineup this season and hasn't had a completely fit squad during the year.

Marca

published remarks from Monchi's appearance on Canal Sur, in which the genius of Sevilla discussed how to deal with the situation.

“There are many explanations, we are carrying out an analysis and trying to find the reason, in addition to analyzing what he could have done well or badly.”

“Now isn’t the moment to draw conclusions, it’s the moment to focus all of our positive energy on the players that are available and look forward. At the end of the season, it will be time to analyze and look for solutions.”

Thomas Delaney, Papu Gomez, Marcos Acuna, and Fernando Reges are presently unavailable for Sevilla. They've been progressively regaining players, with Erik Lamela, Rafa Mir, Diego Carlos, and Karim Rekik all expected to return for their next encounter.

This weekend, they head to Barcelona to defend their second-place position against an in-form Blaugrana. Following their elimination from the

Europa League

at the hands of West Ham, Sevilla will be looking to end the season well and claim the runners-up title.
