The France international is keen on going against Los Blancos in the second leg of the Champions League Round of 16 but Luka Modric hopes he joins them next season.

Luka Modric

is hoping

Kylian Mbappe

will make a move to

Real Madrid

next season as he rumors are growing each week about the Frenchman’s future.

The France international’s deal is due to expire in June and he is being linked with a move to the Spanish giants.

The 23-year-old is part of

Paris Saint-Germain

squad that goes against Real Madrid in the second tie of the

Champions League

last 16 on Wednesday and notwithstanding a knock he suffered in training, he is keen on playing.

Mbappe made the difference in the first tie of the game, netting the winner in their 1-0 victory against Madrid. Modric, who is reaching the end of his deal and plans to extend his stay, says that any player would like the Frenchman as a team-mate.

"

We want to play with great players, Kylian is one of those. Of course, I'd like to play with him, let's see,"

the midfielder told reporters.

"It's difficult to talk about other players, clubs get angry, can interpret it badly, but I don't think a player exists that doesn't want him on their team."

Mbappe was involved in 18 goals in the previous 13 games in the Champions League, finding the target 13 times and contributing five assists.

PSG were trying to retain Mbappe’s services last year to win the Champions League.
