Tolisso sustains muscle strain in Bayern’s victory

Bayern Munich’s victory over the club at the bottom came at a cost, but Corentin Tolisso’s injury is not as serious as his reaction showed.

Corentin Tolisso

sustained a muscle injury when

Bayern Munich

won the clash against

Greuther Furth

, with two of the goals coming from

Robert Lewandowski

.

Tolisso had to come off after 25 minutes as he felt pain and grabbed his left thigh when Paul Seguin challenged him.

"

Coco has strained a muscle. We were initially worried that it was something more, but luckily it's 'just' a muscle strain,"

Bayern boss

Julian Nagelsmann

said afterwards.

Julian Nagelsmann said to

DAZN

:<em>

"How can we replace Coco? With Marcel Sabitzer, with Marc Roca, with Jamal Musiala and hopefully soon with Leon Goretzka again."

Lucas Hernandez featured only 53 minutes on the pitch on Sunday.

However, his problem was not severe and the club manager added:

"It's not bad with Luci, he has cramp."

Injuries have seen Tolisso play in only 12 games in

Bundesliga

this season, netting two goals. When he has featured, he pulled off impressive displays.

Bayern Munich will go against

Eintracht Frankfurt

on Saturday in their next Bundesliga encounter.
