The Reds will be without Robertson against Chelsea

Andrew Robertson has been suspended and will miss his side’s clash against Chelsea.

Andrew Robertson

received a straight red card in

Liverpool’s

clash against

Tottenham

on the weekend on Boxing Day, and since the Red’s Boxing Day clash against

Leeds

was postponed, his suspension will start with their game against

Chelsea

on 2 January.

With the rise of Covid-19 cases, some of the Premier League games called off, including Liverpool’s match against Leeds because of the number of Covid-19 cases in

Marcelo Bielsa’s

.

Watford’s

game against

Wolves

was also suspended for the same reason, and the teams that have been struggling with Covid-19 have been unable to train, so continuing some of the games was almost impossible.

The problem in Liverpool’s case is that they are going to be without an important player in a key match, so

Jurgen Klopp

can’t be happy with the situation, although he has Kostas Tsimikas who can fill Robertson’s place, having played 13 games for the Reds this season three of them as a starter.

Tsimikas had a good start to the season when Robertson was away because of injury, and there is a lot of hope that he can be a good replacement for the Reds’ star.
