Jardim under the radar of Newcastle United

The Frenchman is one of Newcastle's main options to lead the team.

Leonardo Jardim, the current head coach of

Al Hilal

and former Monaco, is on the radar of the

Newcastle United

.

After the Saudi Investment Fund took over the shares of Newcastle United, fundamental changes took place at the club, and in their first step, they fired Steve Bruce, the team's head coach. Along the way, the new owners intend to sign a great coach for the club, and the 47-year-old Al-Hilal coach is currently one of the options.

It was initially suggested that Eddie Howe, Lucien Favre and Paulo Fonseca were Newcastle's main options, with the last two in the negotiations having attracted the club's attention. Negotiations have been conducted by members of the club who may not continue on the board, so the new owners are considering other options.

Jardim is currently in charge of Al-Hilal and with this team, he has reached the AFC Champions League final and is looking for the club's fourth continental championship. However, after the competition, Newcastle intend to attract Jardim to the Premier League. Of course, a new coach is not expected to take charge of Newcastle until mid-November, but it is possible that Jardim will be confirmed before that date.
