Italy stadiums open up to 75 percent capacity within few days

Stadiums in Italy are expected to open up to 75 percent capacity within few days and up to 100 percent by the end of October.

A proposal to the

CTS

(Technical Scientific Committee) working with the

Italian government

was accepted to allow stadiums to open up to 75 percent capacity, according to the latest reports.

The new decree is going to be confirmed within days, allowing open-air stadiums to be at 75 percent capacity.

Current COVID-19 restrictions limit stadiums to 50 percent which has irritated both clubs and fans.

Now people with only a Green Pass - which is proof of either vaccination or of a negative test posted within 48 hours of the event - can attend the games, however, they are still required to wear masks as well as practice social distancing.

The COVID-19 figures in Italy are now sufficiently low that the government is ready to allow 75 percent capacity in stadiums.

The stadiums are expected to open up to 75 percent capacity and be ready for the upcoming Nations League games in

Milan

and

Turin

, against Sampdoria and either Belgium or France, in October.
