Miedema hat-trick helps Arsenal into Champions League group stage

Vivianne Miedema reached 100 goals for Arsenal in only 110 appearances for the club as she netted a hat-trick to help the Gunners beat Slavia Prague and advance to the group stages of the Women’s Champions League.

The Netherlands international put the Gunners 3-0 up on the night in Prague before a penalty from

Kim Little

completed their 4-0 win and a 7-0 victory on aggregate.

Miedema

opened the scoring for

Arsenal

on the hour mark and within 12 minutes she had completed her hat-trick.

The Dutch star’s current deal in north London expires this summer and she will have plenty of options if she does not want to renew her deal.

As for Miedema's future at the club, Eidevall said the player will make a decision

"when the time is right".

"We'd like Viv to stay," she said after the game, "but I understand from her perspective to see where the club is going. When the time is right she'll make a decision about her future".

Arsenal will now join teams including

Chelsea

and defending champions

Barcelona

in the new 16-team group stage, the draw for which will be held on Monday.
