Ribery will pass medicals at Salernitana on monday

The French striker will continue to play in Serie A.

Former Bayern Munich star Franck Ribery will leave for Salerno tomorrow to sign a contract with the newly promoted club

Sky Sports claimed that the transfer was on the verge of finalization and that minor issues remained until it was finalized. The 38-year-old striker played for Fiorentina for two years and is well acquainted with Serie A conditions and will leave for Salerno on Monday for medicals.

After Ribery's agent travels to Granata to talk about the details, he will finalize his contract with the club. Ribery has reportedly promised the club that he will soon be leaving Monaco for Italy, where he is on holiday with his family.

The World Cup winner is expected to be announced as Salernitana's new player tomorrow evening, and the club has revealed  that his presentation will take place at 16:30 in Arechi.

The former Bayern Munich star is said to have a one-year contract and an extension clause.
