‘Barcelona will give Pedri two weeks of vacation’, confirms Koeman
Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman has confirmed that his prized midfielder Pedri will take a two-week break after Saturday’s match against Athletic Bilbao.
After missing only one league game for
Barcelonalast season, before going on to play for Spain at the European Championship and the Tokyo Olympics, Pedri González will finally get some rest.
Pedri
has played 74 games for club and country since he made his debut with Barcelona at the start of last season.
The 18-year-old was an ever-present player in
Luis Enrique
’s team at Euro 2020 before joining up with the Olympic team in Tokyo.
Speaking ahead of Alaves clash,
Koeman
assured Barca fans that he has plans to rest the teenager.
“We have thought what is best for him. He will play tomorrow (against Athletic Bilbao), but then he will have a rest”,
as per reports from
Marca.
“We give Pedri two weeks of vacation. I have spoken with Luis Enrique on this, but I cannot talk about the details.”
