Chelsea striker joined Southampton on loan

The young Chelsea striker will spend next season in Southampton.

Chelsea

and Southampton have agreed a one-season loan move for Armando Broja.

The 19-year-old star recently extended his contract with the Blues for five years and impressed Thomas Tuchel with his good performances in the pre-season. Despite scoring in four pre-season games, Chelsea opted to send him on loan to another team to open the door for the transfer of Romelu Lukaku for € 120 million.

While Danny Ings has joined Aston Villa from Southampton for € 35 million, Broja will have a difficult time replacing the clinical striker. They also signed Adam Armstrong from the Blackburn Rovers for € 20 million, and the two will form Southampton's attacking line for next season.

Chelsea, who have reached an agreement with Inter over the transfer of Romelu Lukaku, will finalize the transfer within the next 48 hours. They also plan to hire Jules Kounde from Seville. Sevilla have demanded € 80 million in exchange for him and have turned down an offer from Kurt Zouma.
