Felipe Anderson joined Lazio again on a £4m deal

West Ham took a £30 million hit as Felipe Anderson joined Lazio again on a £4 million deal.

in 2018 on a then club-record £36 million deal.

The Brazilian since then has been struggling to perform. He spent last season on loan at Porto and only played 10 games.

It seems he had no choice but to leave West Ham. He decided to join Lazio again on a £4 million deal and therefore West Ham are going to take a loss of more than £30 million, however, they have a 50 percent sell-on clause in the deal that sees him return to Italy.

West Ham also are going to let go of players like Anderson to raise funds and free up their wage bill so they could invest in the squad.

“Everyone at West Ham United would like to thank Felipe Anderson for his contribution made during his time as a Hammer and wish him the very best for his future,” said West Ham in a statement on Friday.
