Brazil ask Real Madrid for Vinicius to play in the Olympic Games

As per reports from Marca, Brazil national team would like to have Vinicius for the Olympic Games and they have asked Real Madrid for his services.

Vinicius

is representing his country in Copa America at the moment and is the fourth madridista to be called up for the tournament following Spanish trio Marco Asensio, Jesus Vallejo and Dani Ceballos.

Real Madrid

have not yet responded to Brazil national team’s request as they would like to discuss it with

Carlo Ancelotti

first. The club manager is confident he can use the forward’s talent despite his inconsistency. The Brazilian has previously shown a desire to play for his country at the Olympic Games. He met the back of the net three times and contributed five assists in 35 matches he played last season.

However, he has not been given many minutes at the Copa America, but Madrid will still pay attention to his physical condition. Vinicius’ compatriot Rodrygo was not called up for the tournament, but Sevilla centre-back Diego Carlos was. Another player to have made it to the 18-man squad is former Sevilla and Barcelona player Dani Alves.
