Barcelona could land a €20million windfall after transfer decision

The Blaugrana are planning to reduce another chunk from their debt with cashing in on other players.

Joan Laporta

, the

Barcelona

president, is aiming to reduce their €1billion debt and trying to lessen the wage bill by 40% to meet the La Liga rules.

In order to do that, Barca would have to let some players go and three have already moved on, including Juan Miranda, Joean-Clair Todibo and Matheus Fernandes, whereas they hope Lionel Messi pens a new contract.

Junior Firpo

will be added to that list as Leeds United have offered a move for 24-year-old, and Barca are also considering offloading

Miralem Pjanic

, as per reports from

Sport

.

Pjanic joined Barca in 2020 with a €60 million fee that saw Arthur Melo head the other way.

However, he only played in 19 games and will now go out the exit door.

Based on reports from Sport, the 31-year-old would rather move to Serie A with his former club Juventus looking interested.

If they offload the midfielder, Barcelona are going to land a €20million windfall based on Transfermarkt’s valuation.

The Blaugrana are only allowed to reinvest %25 of that figure on signing new players.
