Paulinho wants to return to Barcelona as a free agent
The Brazilian star intends to return to Barcelona after his contract in China has expired.

Barcelonastar Paulinho has announced his intention to return to Barcelona after leaving Guangzhou.
After three years in the Chinese league, the 32-year-old Brazilian midfielder is looking for a new club. He was in Barcelona from 2017 to 2018 and won the La Liga and Copa del Rey. Despite his excellent performance at Camp Nou, he returned to China on loan and then made his loan deal permanent. Now that he is a free agent, he intends to return to Barcelona and continue playing football in the team's midfield.
He told
Mundo Deportivo:
“For me, the theme of money or the duration of the contract would be a problem, they never have been, and even less if Barca are the team who calls,” he told
“I have already shown when I left Guangzhou to go there for much less of what is perceived in China.
“Money has never been at the front in my career, so it would not be a problem in returning there. Also, the club would not have to pay a transfer fee for me.”
Barcelona have already signed Sergio Aguero, Memphis Deepay and Eric Garcia as free agents, and if Paulinho is recruited, he will become the fourth free agent to join the club in the summer transfer window.
