Paulinho showed green light to PL and La Liga clubs

The Brazilian star hopes to play in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Bayer Leverkusen winger Paulinho is ready to leave the club and join the Premier League or La Liga.

The 20-year-old Brazilian midfielder, who joined

Leverkusen

in 2018 for 20 million euros, missed almost the entire last season due to injury. He has been hailed as one of the most promising players in the world, and he recently recovered and played 66 minutes for Leverkusen in the league's final match. Now the Brazilian star has given the green light to the Premier League and La Liga clubs.

He told

Goal

:

"I will be prepared if an opportunity arrives. Spain has very good football, so does England. They're top leagues. Germany as well, the Bundesliga is a top league with a very high level and every player wants to play in those big leagues."

Paulinho hopes to be called up to the Brazilian national team for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. He added:

"It's not impossible. I think it's possible. I'll have one year before the World Cup starts, it's a season. First of all I'll be focused on doing a good job for my club and then the Selecao can be a consequence of that."
