Barcelona announced Emerson’s signing

Barcelonaplanned to use their right to bring the Brazilian back to Camp Nou as part of the agreement between the two parties in the first deal.
The 22-year-old was born in Sao Paulo and will represent his country in this summer’s Copa America. He is going to boost Brazil’s right side by bringing pace and attacking ability to the team. He has met the back of the net five times and contributed 10 assists for Betis since 2019 when he joined with an agreement reached between the Andalusian club, Barcelona and Atletico Mineiro.
Emerson played a key role for Betis under the reign of Manuel Pellegrini last season, being a crucial component of the team as they ended the La Liga season sitting sixth which saw them get qualified for the next season’s Europa League. He featured more than any other player in the team and contributed more assists during the last two seasons than any other La Liga defender besides Jordi Alba, Jesus Navas and Kieran Trippier.
