Alaba joins Real Madrid with a five-year deal

Real Madrid finally defeats the contesters in the race for signing Bayern Munich's Austrian international David Alaba.

After a long successful spell at Allianz Arena, the Austria international decided that he wants to leave the Bavarians at the end of the season, and many big clubs have been trying to convince the versatile defender to join them, and

now has announced that they have won the fight.

The 13-time Champions League winners have convinced the Austrian defender to sign a five-year contract with them and come to Santiago Bernabeu over the other elite European clubs.

Alaba made his first game for the Bavarians in DFB-Pokal in 2010 against Greuther Furth, becoming the club’s youngest player in history at the time, assisting Franck Ribery after a minute of entering the field.

He was 17 years old when he made his first appearance for

, and now he has made 448 appearances for the club scoring 38 goals and making 47 assists across all competitions.

David Alaba has won 27 titles with Bayern Munich, including ten times and two Champions League trophies.
