Two ATK Mohun Bagan players test positive COVID-19

SK Sahilhave both tested positive for COVID-19. The tests were taken on May 7 before the team’s travel to Maldives as they were planning to participate in their AFC Cup matches next week. Under the AFC protocols, teams must submit their negative COVID-19 tests two days before traveling to their destinations.
ATK Mohun Baganwere scheduled to travel to Maldives on Monday. However, according to
goal.com, AFC has asked the Kolkata club to cancel their travel arrangements to Maldives. As a result, the matches that were planned to be held between May 11 to May 20 in Male will be postponed
ATK Mohun Bagan will compete with Bashundhara Kings (Bangladesh), Maziya S&RC (Maldives), and a play-off winner (Bengaluru FC or Eagles FC) in Group D of the competition. AFC is yet to announce a new date for the postponed AFC Cup fixtures.
