Tottenham’s chairman, decided to dismiss
Jose Mourinho
last week after the Portuguese coach’s relationship with some of the players grew rift.
Ryan Mason
was named as the interim manager until the season ends, with the Spurs aiming to look for a replacement before the European Championship.
Based on reports from The Athletic, via
Marca, Levy is interested in Marcelino as their new manager. The 55-year-old joined
Athletic Bilbaoin January after Gaizka Garitano was sacked.
Spurs are hoping to be able to take advantage of no extension talks at the Estadio San Mames as Marcelino’s contract runs out at the end of next season.
Among the other Spurs’ targets are RB Leipzig Julian Nagelsmann, Belgium boss Roberto Martinez and Fulham’s Scott Parker.
