London the most probable destination for Alaba

Chelsea gets closer to signing Bayer Munich’s David Alaba.

Bayern Munich’s Austrian star is going to leave the club in the summer, and many European clubs are looking to sign him.

Real Madrid

,

Barcelona

,

Manchester City

, and

Chelsea

are the clubs that have shown the most interest in the Austrian international

David Alaba

.

Chelsea didn’t seem to have much chance considering their opponents in Alaba’s pursuit, but now Daily Star has reported that the Blues and the Citizens have more chance to sign the 28-year-old as the Spanish giants seem unable to afford his desired wage.

Here is what Alaba said when announcing his decision to leave the German giants last month:

"It was not an easy decision. I have been here for 13 years and the association is really close to my heart. I am very grateful to the association for many things,

"I took my time because it's not an easy decision to make overnight. I decided to do something new - a new challenge. I haven't made the decision yet (on my new club), that remains to be seen.

"It's no secret that my management is in contact with several clubs. But a lot is being read into it and I want to concentrate fully on my task here. "Money has not been a factor in my decision."

Citizens also have a big chance to sign the player considering

Pep Guardiola’s

history with David Alaba, so we have to wait and see which club wins the fight over the Austrian Full back. It seems like a war between

Thomas Tuchel

, who has been an admirer of Alaba for a long time, and Pep Guardiola, who has experienced a good spell at Bayern Munich alongside him.
