Muller comments on Bayern’s 3-1 victory over Werder Bremen

After providing an assist in two of the three goals scored for Bayern Munich which saw them vanquish Werder Bremen, the Germany international talked to the media.

When

Bayern Munich

forward

Thomas Muller

was quizzed about the factors that have led to their victory, he responded:

“It was through persistence and variability. We had a lot of aluminum today and should have won by even more.”

What he meant by the aluminum in the comment he made was the three times that a shot from Bayern hit the post. If those shots saw the back of the net, the results would have been thumping.

Regarding Robert Lewandowski’s late substitution and whether he was not pleased with that, Muller said:

“I don’t believe so. Lewy knows how important he is. He fights every game for his goals, but when the coach says that he has to come off, he comes off. Otherwise, it would cause trouble in the team.”

Adding the two assists he contributed today to his tally, the 31-year-old has 13

Bundesliga

assists to his name this season. For him to break his last season record, he has to provide eight more in the remaining nine games.
