Eden Hazard injury reports

Zidane revealed that the Belgian playmaker is close to returning to full training after an untimely injury.

Zinedine Zidane

has said that

Eden Hazard

could play in the

Real Madrid

Champions League

last-16 clash against

Atalanta

as he recovers from another untimely injury.

The Belgian international, who has been suffering a series of fitness problems since joining Real Madrid in 2019, was treated again with a muscle complaint.

He will not play in the

La Liga

game against

Valencia

but may return to Eurpean actions on February 24.

Zidane was asked for an update on Hazard injury; he said

: “He’s already back on the pitches and doing well.

“We hope he can work with the rest of the team next week.”

If hazard return to full training next week, it is possible that he will play in Real Mardid’s domestic game against

Real Valladolid

.

They are scheduled to play the first leg of the meeting against Atalanta on Wednesday, which will be held in Italy.

Zidane has added on injury concerns, with his squad reduced to 12 senior stars at one stage:

“It’s not bad luck. We’re worried about this, and I’ve spoken about it a lot.

“We don’t like not having our players available. We’re getting

Dani Carvajal

and

Lucas Vazquez

back and we want to get the others back soon.”

Hazard’s latest injury has left him misses seven games, with an eighth to come on Sunday.

Such challenges are not new to Hazard, who missed 26 games due to Hamstring, foot and ankle problems with his debut season at Santiago Bernabeu.
