Adelaide is interested in bringing Goodwin back
The Australian will return to his parent club, Al-Wehda, as his loan deal at Abha is coming to an end. However, Adelaide’s coach, Carl Veart, is eager to sign Craig Goodwin if the Socceroos winger decides to return to the A-League.
"Craig's a very proud South Australian and he's had a lot of success here at the club,"
Veart
said on Thursday.
"And if there's an opportunity to bring him back the club will jump at it."
The Reds are eager to bounce back from a 3-1 defeat to
Brisbane
Roar
in their upcoming home game against
Perth
Glory
as
Veart
confirmed that Socceroos striker
Tomi
Juric
is eligible to be selected for his side’s Friday's home clash.
"I'm looking forward to bringing them back in, bringing that experience that we were missing last week,"
Veart said.
"We had a very young team starting last week and we just lacked that bit of experience in crucial parts of the game.
"At home, we haven't had any problems with that. Our supporters really help our younger players lift at home and the away games we've struggled.
"We need to find a little bit better balance to provide that bit more experience on the pitch to help those younger players in the away games."
