Bayern Munich’s Tolisso fined for breaking Covid-19 protocols

The Bundesliga club has decided to punish their player for not following coronavirus rules.

Bayern Munich

player,

Corentin Tolisso

, was fined and dropped out of the squad’s 4-1 win over

Hoffenheim

for ignoring Covid-19 protocols.

The 26-year-old, who shared a video of himself while getting a tattoo, incited frustration among club members after not taking the pandemic rules into consideration.

Bayern CEO, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, who was not happy with the player’s actions, stated:

"We are happy that despite the current situation Bundesliga matches can be played. A condition for that is that players, coaches and staff stick to the health rules set out.”

"Corentin Tolisso has now broken these rules despite the fact that the club leadership has clearly communicated those rules with the team. This is frustrating and will not be tolerated."

Bayern Munich’s coach, Hansi Flick, also talked about the Frenchman after their win over Hoffenheim, saying:

"This is an absolute no go for us. He is very sorry, it happened, it cannot be undone."

In return Tolisso issued an apology on

Twitter

, which read:

"I hereby want to apologise for my misconduct. I am sorry to have disobeyed the regulations of my club and the DFL. I know that I have disappointed our fans and FC Bayern Munich. I am sorry!"

It remains to be seen whether the player will be included in Bayern Munich’s upcoming game against

Herta Berlin

or not as they continue at the top of the Bundesliga table with seven points ahead.
