Dortmund's Thomas Meunier: 'I'm still not at 100 percent'

Thomas Meunier concedes he hasn't played at his high level this season yet feels he's beginning to get up to maximum throttle.

Borussia Dortmund right-back Thomas Meunier recognizes he hasn't been playing at his full potential this season, yet accepts he's destined for success to rediscovering his excellent condition.

The 29-year-old Belgian, who joined the

Bundesliga

side from Paris Saint-Germain the previous summer, disclosed to Ruhr Nachrichten:

"The feeling is coming back. I have more confidence and feel sharper.

"But I'm still not at 100 percent. First, I have to become the Thomas Meunier that everyone expects.

"Since the beginning of the year, I have felt better. I firmly believe that I will rediscover my previous level."

Meunier has played 21 games for Dortmund, found the net once and provided two assists so far.

The Belgian international is presently out of action due to an injury that will keep him out of Saturday's match with Augsburg.
