"Neymar above Messi & Ronaldo as best in the world" – Ribeiro

Former Brazil international, Caio Ribeiro says Neymar has grown higher than Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo to become “the best player in the world”.

The Paris Saint-Germain forward joined Barcelona in a high-profile move away from Santos and became a mysterious talent.

Neymar

shone beside Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez at Camp Nou, standing third in the 2015 Ballon d’Or vote.

Despite having injury struggles and questions of his attitude and future, he has kept impressive standards, having scored 81goals through 100 matches.

The 28-year-old is supposedly at his peak, while Messi and Ronaldo reach their mid-30s,

Neymar

has the ability to be the standout performer in world football.

Ribeiro

believes he is already there, and said:

“Even if he [Neymar] has behaviour that we don’t agree with, I think he is an ace, currently the best player in the world.

“He plays more balls than Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi.”

For

Ribeiro

, top talents these days, just do what their coaches demand and that they are unable to think and flourish themselves.

He continued:

“It's a generation that is very dependent on the coach, and this is bad.

“In my generation, the coach spoke, you took the important bits and what you didn't agree with, you gave your point of view. Today, there is no such dialogue. Players lack responsibility, they are very dependent on the coach.”
