Zapata praises Atalanta performance after Sassuolo win
Atalanta striker Duvan Zapata was content with his brace and pointed out the importance of their win and a fantastic performance by the Orobici against Sassuolo.
The Colombian forward scored twice in
Atalanta’s good start to the New Year as they ran riot against high flying
Sassuolowith a 5-1 victory, but the striker’s focus is on the next match against
Parmaon Wednesday.
“We restarted well,”
he told Sky Sport Italia
. “They’re a great team but we put them in great difficulty.
“I’m happy with the goals, but above all I’m happy with the team’s performance. We’re still the same, sometimes we give away a little, but today it was important to win and we did.
“We take one step at a time, now our heads are on Parma.”
Zapata
joined Atalanta from
Sampdoria
in 2018 and he has scored five goals in 14 Serie A matches this season.
