Karius will fight for his place
Former Liverpool goalkeeper still struggling to regain his confidence after his costly mistakes in the Champions League final of 2018.
joined Liverpool as a replacement for Mignolet. The German keeper was not successful and his mistakes in the final of the Champions League almost finished his career in the Premier League’s sides. Karius then joined the Turkish side, Besiktas but he could not regain his form or confidence even in the Turkish league.
He came back to his home country, Germany and joined the recently promoted Bundesliga side,
Union Berlin. However, apparently, the former finalist of the Champions League can not even be the first option for Union Berlin. Karius’ only appearance for Union Berlin so far came this week in the side’s 3-2 defeat to second division club Paderborn the DFB Pokal.
Bild reported that the former Mainz 05 goalkeeper would consider a move to England again but it seems like he got the spirit to find his place in Union Berlin. He is determined to show his value next time he got an opportunity.
