Melbourne City signs Tsubaki on loan from Yokohama

The 20 years old midfielder will spend the 2020/21 campaign at the A-League side.

The Japanese made 39 appearances in J-2 League’s side

Giravanz Kitakyushu

during the past two seasons, where he was on loan from

Yokohama

. He also represented

Japan’s

under-17 team during the 2017 U17 FIFA World Cup.

Melbourne’s

manager,

Ange Postecoglou

, was instrumental in acquiring the midfielder. Melbourne City director of football,

Michael Petrillo

, revealed the coach’s high recommendation Saturday.

"He comes to us in high regard from Ange Postecoglou and his coaching team at Yokohama and we believe he´ll be a great addition to our final third,"
