Wigan Atheltic’s Joe Garner reportedly in talks with East Bengal

Robbie Fowler’s side is keen to lure the striker to Indian Super League

East Bengal already has signed two of Joe Garner’s former team-mates, Danny Fox and Anthony Pilkington, with reportedly eying the 32 years old striker, they are looking to make a reunion.

Joe Garner who is Wigan’s Top scorer this season with seven goals, is in the final year of his contract, which makes him consider leaving the club at this stage.

He started his career at Blackburn Rovers, after a spell at Carlisle United he was signed for Nottingham Forest in 2008, where he scored 10 goals in 55 games.

The peak of his career was at Preston North End, where he bagged 57 goals in 151 games, helping them with a promotion to the Championship in 2015. After that, he spent spells at Rangers and Ipswich Town before ending up in Wigan Athletic.
