Alex Morgan makes her debut for Tottenham after knee injury

World Cup winner Alex Morgan has finally made her WSL first appearance for Spurs.

connected with the north London powerful clubs in September when Spurs snapped up the 31-year-old. Morgan has gone over a year without taking in a competition and it is her first competitive appearance since giving birth to daughter Charlie in April 2020. "It just feels good to get back on the field for the first time in over a year so happy about that," Morgan said after the match. 

Spurs ranked ninth in the WSL after a poor set of games with four failures and one draw in their last five league matches. Morgan had been hoping to come onto the field before now, but an unlucky knee injury prevented her from rejoining the team., Morgan explained: "There’s times definitely where I think stress builds up or I kind of get a little too anxious. Talking about being a new nom, and how she pushes herself to get used to the trainings; she claimed:  " I think that I’ve handled it quite well; "I felt like there was definitely a lot more sprints than in training. I'll get used to it pretty quickly.”
