RB Leipzig

were one of the more active teams in the Bundesliga 2022 winter transfer window as they signed a couple of young talents, while also letting go of some of their older players in the process. Wolfsburg are battling for their lives near the bottom of the league table.

They are only a couple of points away from sinking down to the relegation zone, which is exactly why they have tried their best to turn the tides in their favor with Bundesliga transfers in 2021/2022.  The Wolves have spent a total of €23 million to bring in three players in the month that passed. They signed Jonas Wind from FC Copenhagen for €12, while bringing in Kevin Paredes and Max Kruse for €6 and €5 million respectively.

They managed to acquire Sven Michel from SC Paderborn for €2.5 million, while signing 22-year-old central midfielder Andras Schafer for €1 million. SC Freiburg

Arminia Bielefeld

Having barely escaped relegation in the 2020-21 season, Arminia Bielefeld have been slowly building up strength to finish higher in the league. That is why they have spent more than €2 million to sign George Bello, Burak Ince and Gonzalo Castro. The German club are currently fourteenth on the league table with 21 points in 20 games this season. With three wins and two draws in their last five league games, Arminia have had quite a better run of form lately and are looking to turn the tides in their favor in the coming months.

FC Koln

VfL Bochum

The only signing that VfL Bochum have made over the January transfer window is Jurgen Locadia, who arrived at the German club from Brighton & Hove Albion on a free transfer deal. Having spent no money in winter, Bochum have also made no profits either, despite letting go of three players in the process.

SPVGG Greuther Furth

Furth have had the worst season amongst all the other Bundesliga teams as they have only managed to accumulate 10 points in their last 20 games, which has pushed them to the depths of the relegation zone. Perhaps Andreas Linde’s arrival from Molde FK could improve the German side’s defensive issues as they have conceded a whopping 52 goals in those 20 games. Only a miracle can save Furth from relegation now as they are several points behind from their competitors. But nothing is set in stone in football and anything can happen in the following months.
