Aubameyang eager to lower his salary to seal Barcelona loan move

After joining Chelsea from Barcelona on a £10m transfer last summer, Aubameyang struggled to break into the Blues squad as he only managed to score three goals across 18 appearances. The Gabonese is reportedly open to accepting a pay cut to return to Barcelona next summer.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang joined Chelsea from Barcelona on the final day of the summer transfer window for a reported £10m fee, penning a two-year contract with an option to extend for one year as he inherited Chelsea’s infamous number 9 shirt. In the contract of Aubameyang's transfer to Chelsea, there was a clause for the transfer of Marcos Alonso to Barcelona.

reports that Aubameyang is ready to accept a pay cut in order to return to Barcelona next summer. Meanwhile, the La Liga giants are considering a one-year loan deal for Aubameyang who traveled to Camp Nou to watch Barca's victory over Real Madrid before the international break.

Upon his arrival from Arsenal, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang became Barca's top scorer of the season in just half a season and showed a very good performance.
