Pulisic urges USMNT to take confidence from record 7-1 victory

USMNT made a record when they won Grenada 7-1 on Friday in the CONCACAF Nations League. Christian Pulisic tips his nation to take confidence from their record away victory.

The USA made records in their first competitive match since the World Cup as they won Grenada 7-1 away from home on Friday. Christian Pulisic, who scored once and provided four assists, believes his side can take confidence from their record victory.

"We came out really strong with a lot of energy and just kind of put with them right away,"

Pulisic said.

"So I think they were kind of surprised by that. Took our goals well and just a great all-around performance. Definitely gives us confidence."

Interim coach Anthony Hudson urged his side to focus as they try to reach the Nations League final four.

Ahead of their Monday match against El Salvador, he said:

"With a [good] performance and a result like this, you don't want to get carried away.

"The importance for us is just to make sure that we do all the right things between now and the next game and we finish the job off.

"But the actual performance, I thought it was the result of just a really, really good week."
