Arsenal 4-1 Crystal Palace: A Brace and an Assist for Saka!

After their upsetting Europa League exit against Sporting CP, the Premier League leaders Arsenal hosted Crystal Palace on Sunday with the relegation-threatened Eagles recently sacking the Gunners' legend Vieira from the dugout.

Arsenal was eager to show a reaction to their Europa League exit against Palace as they started the game from the beginning on the front foot.

However, Palace created the first serious chance of the game as Edouard was played through by Schlup in a one-on-one with Ramsdale. The England international saved the chance before Holding cleared the rebound. Martinelli scored the match's opener converting Saka's brilliant cross in the 28th minute. Saka doubled the Gunners' lead in the 43rd minute after playing a one-two with White before curling a clinical strike past Whitworth, sending the two sides with a 2-0 result for the halftime to the dressing rooms.

Zaha had a chance in the second half before Granit Xhaka scored Arsenal's third goal by converting Trossard's sublime pass in the 55th minute. Schlupp pulled one back for Palace 8 minutes later through a corner. Bukayo Saka completed his brace in the 74th minute converting with a first-time finish from Tierney's low cross. Arsenal held on to their lead as they secured a 4-1 victory over 12th-placed Crystal Palace.
