Haaland set to sign boot deal with Nike

Erling Haaland will sign a lucrative £20m boot deal with Nike after rejecting Puma and Adidas

Manchester City

star striker Erling Haaland has snubbed the advances of Puma and Adidas, choosing to sign a boot deal with Nike instead.

The 22-year-old striker has scored 33 goals in 33 matches for Manchester City all season. The Norwegian goal machine has certainly hit the ground running and might even end up breaking the Premier League goal scoring record in a single season.

Surprisingly,

Haaland

doesn’t currently have a boot deal, which has all the big companies clamoring to sign him. A deal between him and Nike was close in January 2022. While Adidas chief executive Bjorn Gulden is a close family friend, Haaland has always veered more towards Nike.

Now the Athletic reports that a deal with Nike is all but done. Haaland has made a decision to sign for Nike for a deal worth £20m ($24m) a year. However, he has made it clear that he values quality over financial gain.
