Robert Lewandowski will miss Barcelona matches for two weeks due to injury

Barcelona face bad luck as their key striker Robert Lewandowski suffered a muscle injury during their La Liga match against Almeria.

Additional tests will be carried out to determine the condition of the Polish striker. But currently, Lewa is expected to be out of action for fourteen days. As a result, the Poland captain will miss Barcelona's Copa del Rey semi-final first leg against Los Blancos, as well as La Liga matches against Valencia and Athletic Club in the coming weeks. Reportedly, Lewandowski may return in time for Barça's second El Clasico against Real Madrid on March 19.

Barcelona

has already been struggling due to the absence of some of its key players such as Pedri and Ousmane Dembele, and

's injury exacerbates their issues. Despite his recent lack of form, the former Bayern Munich superstar is a key player in Xavi's plans, and his absence during an important juncture of the season, with crucial games ahead, will undoubtedly be a significant setback. With only two fit forwards, Ferran Torres and Raphinha, Barcelona's ability to cope with Lewandowski's absence over the next few weeks may be critical in determining the rest of the season. Nonetheless, Ansu Fati is expected to return in time for this week's Clasico.
