Tottenham considering bid for Roma star Nicolo Zaniolo
Tottenham Hotspur is thinking about signing Roma star Nicolo Zaniolo in the January transfer window.
According to Sportitalia and Gazzetta Dello Sport transfer expert. Alfredo Pedulla,
Tottenhamis considering a January bid for the 23-year-old midfielder. He claims that West Ham United and Nottingham Forrest are also interested in signing him.
Tottenham also was heavily linked with a move for
Romastar last summer. Reports suggest that Tottenham's sporting director Fabio Paratici is a keen admirer of
Zanioloand Antonio Conte would also be happy to have him in the squad.
Calciomercato also claims that Tottenham remains interested in a deal to bring Zaniolo to the Premier League. The report also suggests that Newcastle is monitoring the situation and they could also make a bid for Zaniolo in January.
Zaniolo has been inconsistent this season and his attitude has been questioned by fans. He also was openly jeered by a section of the fans during the 1-0 Coppa Italia win against Genoa.
The Italy international has a contract with Roma until June 2024 but the negotiating over signing a new deal has not progressed in recent months.
Zaniolio, who scored the winning goal in the Europa Conference League Final last season, has managed to score two goals and provide three assists in 17 appearances for Roma this season.
