Potter hints transfer window’s “not over yet” despite signing Felix
Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix joined Chelsea on a six-month loan deal on Wednesday with the Blues boss admitting injuries played a key part in his signature.
Signing Benoit Badiashile, David Datro Fofana, Andrey Santos, and now Joao Felix,
Chelsea
was super active in the winter transfer window. Although
Graham Potter
is more than happy with Felix's transfer, he believes the injuries his side is struggling with "can skew the picture a little bit".
"
If we had those guys back, I think the picture changes, I really do,"
he said.
"I don't think we're as far away as we may think from the outside."
"We've been aware of [the Joao Felix deal] for a while; these things don't happen quickly. Obviously the injuries have maybe sharpened the focus a little bit."
"My thoughts are you have to fix the team; it's not just one person to solve your problems."
Chelsea is still chasing Benfica's
Enzo Fernandez
with Potter hinting their transfer business is not over yet.
"There's time,"
Potter said.
"Whether we'll find the right players or not is another thing."
"We're happy with what we've done so far, but we'll keep going to try to improve the team."
